Henry Downing Lane
Founder / Owner / Director / Head Tutor

Henry is a passionate educator with over 36 years experience in private and public education. His experience includes positions as Director of Studies, Assistant Headmaster, college counselor and English and history teacher at prestigious schools such as The Hill School, William Penn Charter School, Chestnut Hill Academy, Avon Old Farms, and Kents Hill School. He created Learning Core, LLC, a tutorial referral service in 1999 and started Tutoring Match in 2008. His expertise includes English (grammar and essay writing), test prep (SAT, ACT, SSAT/ISEE verbal and math), study skills, U.S. history and college planning.

Susan Wholley
Office Coordinator / Tutor

Susan is a former elementary school teacher, and the mother of two wonderful girls. She received a B.A. in Education from The Pennsylvania State University and an M.S. in Elementary Education from Lehman College. Susan taught elementary school in both New York and Connecticut. The combination of educator and parent brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her roles. She is definitely a big personality in a small package.

Stacie Vos
Tutor Manager / Tutor

Stacie Vos is a native of Lansing, Michigan, and studied Political Science at Kalamazoo College. She moved to Connecticut in 2006 as a founding member of Teach for America CT, beginning her career as a high school English teacher. After finishing her MAT in English Language and Literature at Smith College in 2010, she joined Housatonic Community College as an adjunct faculty member. She has been a tutor with  Tutoring Match since 2010, and has greatly enjoyed her time working with students one-on-one. 

Maribel Galindo
Bookkeeper

Before coming to Tutoring Match, Maribel has worked as an H& R Block tax associate, a St. Mark's Luthern Church accounting assistant, a medical office assistant and a bookkeeper at Greenwich Hospital. Maribel is also bi-linqual and computer savvy.
